The Best Dunkin' Chocolate Chip Cookies for Milk-Dipping Moments
There’s something so timeless and comforting about sitting down with a warm cookie and a tall glass of milk. In our home, these Dunkin' Chocolate Chip Cookies have become a beloved treat—not just because they’re crisp and chewy in all the right ways, but because they’re perfect for dunking.
Whether it's a quiet afternoon moment or a cozy dessert after supper, these cookies deliver that old-fashioned joy with every bite. Crispy edges, golden centers, and a rich burst of dark chocolate make them irresistible.
And when they’re still warm from the oven? Oh, mercy. That’s the sweet spot—chewy, melty, and just begging for a dunk.
Dunkin’ Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe
Makes about 2 dozen cookies
Ingredients:
¾ cup granulated sugar
¾ cup brown sugar (light or dark—your choice!)
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 large egg
2¼ cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
12 oz bag of dark chocolate chips
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line your baking sheets with parchment paper or a baking mat.
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in the vanilla and egg until smooth and well combined.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until a dough forms.
Fold in the dark chocolate chips, making sure they’re evenly distributed throughout the dough.
Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto your prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Bake for 10 minutes, or until the cookies flatten out and the edges turn golden brown. They’ll still be soft in the center—that’s just right.
Allow them to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes until they set, then transfer to a wire rack.
Dunking Tips:
Wait just 5 minutes out of the oven—they’re still warm but won’t fall apart in the milk.
Use cold milk for contrast. Whole milk is my favorite for its richness.
These cookies store beautifully in a tin (lined with wax paper!) and crisp up even more by the next day.
Whether you’re sharing them with the kids during homeschool snack breaks or sneaking one (or two!) with your afternoon tea, these cookies deliver cozy joy every time. Save this recipe, share it with a friend, and don’t forget the milk.
With love and chocolate,
Brooke
